To help stock the Pantry, please bring items to St. John’s Church lobby canned or packaged food items and items of dignity, such as, toilet paper, diapers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.
During the Month of January we collect canned soup, here at the church, and Guy Oddo delivers it over to the Food Pantry.
Soup, bread, beverages and dessert are served. Soup is prepared by area restaurants and bread is donated by local establishments.
This is actually a very enjoyable and rewarding way to spend an afternoon. Your generosity will be appreciated by all you serve!
DAILY BREAD SOUP KITCHEN in Woodstock is changing their staffing schedule. Instead of Saint John’s Parish having the months of May and October to staff the soup kitchen, the Board of Directors is looking for individual people (from all the local churches) to work at the kitchen one day a month (for example, the third Wednesday of every month) from September through December from 3:30-6:15pm. If you are able to volunteer one day a month for four months, please contact Barbara Runz at 973-222-5489 or 845-657-4022. You may also email to [email protected]. Thank you so much for considering this great project!.
A "collection box" is conveniently located on the altar in the St. Francis de Sales Church. Donations of non-perishable food items, personal products, paper goods and pet food are needed and welcomed! Drop off your items when you attend weekend Mass or during the week.
Donated items are collected and taken to the United Methodist Church on a weekly basis. Monetary donations can be mailed or dropped off at the Ulster Savings Bank in Phoenicia. More information about the Phoenicia Food Pantry (and access for online donations) is available through the link on this page. Thank you.
